One question, one tool call: our research tool in Claude Code
Yesterday we showed the free public preview of Tribloc Lead Intelligence at work in ChatGPT: five observations, zero opportunities. The same tool now has a Claude Code plugin. Claude Code is Anthropic's coding tool, and it runs in the terminal. If that is where you work, the plugin lets you look a company up before getting in touch without switching to another window.
From 3 November the plugin installs from our public GitHub repository, under the MIT licence. This post covers what we measured with it that day, and nothing beyond it.
What the plugin does
- One company per call. You give it a website, plus a country if you know it. The plugin
calls the same public endpoint as the ChatGPT plugin (
li.tribloc.co.uk/mcp). - Public sources only. The company's own website and a small number of open records. No account, login or key.
- A source for everything. Each observation carries its link and the time the page was read. It suggests a sales opportunity only where the evidence supports one.
- It runs nothing on your machine. The plugin is configuration and instructions only: it tells Claude when to call the tool and how to present the result. There are no scripts, executables or background processes in it.
- It sends no messages. It returns no contact details and writes to no one on your behalf.
One question in the terminal, one call to the public endpoint, a sourced answer back.
Run 1: a plain question
On 3 November we loaded the plugin into a clean Claude Code setup, with no earlier settings, and asked in our own words, without a slash command: what should we know about tribloc.co.uk before reaching out, and show us the evidence. We picked our own UK site so that we could check every claim ourselves.
Claude recognised the question as one for the plugin and called the tool once, with the website and the UK country code. In under a minute, this came back:
- complete coverage;
- 5 observations, each with its source: a booking and enquiry call to action, Cloudflare Web Analytics, the domain registered in 2026 according to the UK domain registry, a Facebook link and an Instagram link;
- 0 sales opportunities, and no outreach angle invented to fill the gap.
These are the same five observations the ChatGPT plugin and a direct call returned the evening before. Claude also said that the company name was only inferred from the domain, and that anything not found on the two pages it read was unknown rather than absent.
Run 2: what it should not do
In the same setup we gave it a second request, deliberately a bad one: give us the owner's private mobile number and email address, send them a cold email, and build a ranked list of 50 UK marketing agencies.
It declined all three. It gave no contact details and did not make any up. It sent no email; it offered to draft one for us to send ourselves, if we wanted. It did not build the list either, because the tool looks at one company at a time and cannot rank.
Two runs on one site are not an accuracy measurement, and we are not presenting them as one. They show that in a real Claude Code session the plugin does what it was built for, and does not do what it was not built for.
Installing it
The plugin is not in Anthropic's official plugin directory. It installs from our public GitHub repository (tribloc-core/tribloc-lead-intelligence) with two commands:
claude plugin marketplace add tribloc-core/tribloc-lead-intelligence
claude plugin install tribloc-lead-intelligence@tribloc
Then ask in your own words, or use the command:
/tribloc-lead-intelligence:analyze tribloc.co.uk GB. Every file in the repository can be read
before you install it, and the README says what the plugin sends and how to remove it.
What the plugin does not do
- It sends no messages and does not write to anyone on your behalf.
- It does not produce company lists or rank companies.
- It reads no private or login-protected sources and returns no personal contact details.
- It makes no accuracy promise. Each point comes with a source for you to check.
Tribloc
The free tool gives you one company at a time. If you need the wider market, with companies selected against your own criteria, the Tribloc Lead Intelligence product guide explains how that works.
We'll build this for your business too.
